Registration

• Due to the limited capacity, priority will be given to authors of accepted papers. One of the authors of each accepted paper needs to register by September 26 in order to secure a spot. Prospective workshop attendees who are not authors of workshop papers will be accepted until the workshop capacity is reached. Early registration is encouraged as registrations are accepted on a first come first serve basis. A call for participation is available in PDF format.

• Registration fee is due on the day of the workshop -- Please DO NOT mail in your registration fee in advance! Only cash or personal checks are accepted. No credit card please.

  • Regular attendees: $45.

  • Full-time student: $35.

    IEEE Student Membership Award

    Thanks to an IEEE Symposium Grant, in addition to the reduced registration fee, all full-time student attendees will be awarded a full year (2004) IEEE Student Membership. To be eligible, you'll need to

    • Pre-register for the workshop and indicate your full time student status.

    • Bring your student ID to the workshop.

    • Pay the $35 registration fee.

    • Have your IEEE Student Membership Application (Download from the IEEE Website) filled properly at the time of your registration. Notice you'll need to obtain signature of a faculty member of your school. The award only covers basic membership fee. Any additional costs (subscription to journals and society membership) are the students' own responsibility.

    Notice that due to the size of the grant, only 10 students will be selected for the award and priority will be given to students who are presenting their work or are coauthors of the workshop papers. Students without the award will pay the reduced registration fee of $35 without the free IEEE membership. 

     

• Registration for the workshop is a commitment to the $45 registration fee ($35 for full-time students) due on the day of the workshop. In the event of cancellation, we will need an email notice prior to Oct. 3, 2003. Please send your email to Dr. Lisa Osadciw at laosadci@ecs.syr.edu. Otherwise, you will be responsible for the registration fee whether or not you attend the workshop as the hotel does not accept last minute cancellation.
